Holiday Commission Information

Wed Nov 11, 2009, 8:35 AM
Hello Everyone!

Tis' the season of gift giving. Believe it or not the holiday season is right around the corner. If you plan on getting a commissioned portrait of your pet for someone for the holiday season please order sooner than later. Orders have been coming in for the past month and I only have a few more open spots for a guaranteed delivery before the holidays. Gift certificates are also available for gifts if you choose to give your loved one that instead of a physical portrait.

Greeting cards and prints are also available on my website. If you do not see a particular print please email me and it can be made for you. Please feel free to visit my cafepress store for other merchandise as well. If you have already ordered a portrait from me in the past, and are interested in seeing it on a mug or t-shirt etc, please email me and I can set that up on cafepress for you. [link]

If interested in commissioning a portrait, please visit my website for pricing information and the latest examples of my work.

I have donated two pieces in this show.

Please feel free to pass this email to whoever you think may be interested. Thanks!

Artist Statement
While growing up I was surrounded by dogs, cats and other small companions who inspired my love for animals. They never judged me and always gave me their unconditional love. I remember especially our dog Kane, a rottweiler, whose love for our family was the inspiration that lead me to specialize in animal portraiture. It is my way of paying him back for all the joy he brought to my life.
It’s a real pleasure to receive a call from another animal owner who wants to honor a living pet, or commemorate a beloved companion with a portrait that captures the essence of their personality.
My representational realistic style allows me to create a true reflection of their pet’s personality. Working with mostly pencil, charcoal, and oil paints, I strive to reproduce each play of light on the animal’s face, in it’s eyes, or on its coat until I have achieved a true likeness. My goal is to reflect the animal’s personality in a composition that gives it the respect and honor it deserves.
